SCMT’s “Broadway Bound” Auditions – Casting local youth ages 5-18
If you like Broadway, you will love SCMT’s “Broadway Bound”, the all singing, all dancing salute to 100 years of Broadway! Perform songs from both classic and contemporary musicals, including Hamilton, Wicked, Hadestown, Six, Dear Evan Hansen, Matilda, Newsies, Rent, Waitress, School of Rock, Something Rotten, Shrek, Addams Family, Beetlejuice, Annie and more!
Our convenient program with only one rehearsal per week on either Wednesdays or Sundays at Howe Park makes participation easy for busy families.
Our inclusive program accepts all youth who audition. SCMT fosters diversity and inclusion and no experience is required.

Cast members meet for 75 minutes within this time frame, specifics to be determined when cast. (Sundays 12:30-6:00pm, Wednesdays 4:30-8:15pm. Younger cast members tend to rehearse in the first hour of rehearsal.) Cast members are allowed to miss one pre noted rehearsal.
Tech week & performances at Rosemont High School: August 3rd-9th
The participation fee is $345 per child (includes a $20 refundable costume deposit.) $25 discount per additional sibling.
The participation fee includes all rehearsal materials and a show t-shirt. In addition to the participation fee, families are responsible for purchasing dance shoes and selling tickets to the performances that take place at Rosemont High School.

How do I prepare my child to audition?
1. Sign up online to attend auditions.
2. Please stop in during your age time slot and plan to stay for about an hour. If you have children in different age groups auditioning, they may audition together in the same time slot.
3. Please prepare to sing sixteen bars (around thirty seconds) of any song (without music). Select a dynamic song that really shows off your personality and pipes. If your child is not comfortable singing at auditions, we can have them skip the singing portion of the audition and recite “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to “Broadway Bound!”
4. Bring a photo with you. A snapshot or print-out of a photo will help us remember you when it comes to casting.
5. Relax and get ready to have a lot of fun! We strive to make our program enjoyable and low pressure. SCMT fosters diversity and inclusion and no experience is required.
